Discover Dénia
Beaches and coves around Dénia
Sandy Las Marinas, rocky Les Rotes and Montgó as a backdrop: Dénia's coast suits families, water sports and hidden coves.
From LocDenia (office in Els Poblets) you are minutes from Las Marinas, Dénia town and the Les Rotes coves. Nearby you will also find beaches in Jávea, Moraira and the Montgó Natural Park.
Las Marinas: sand and services
North of Dénia, towards Els Poblets, wide sandy beaches offer beach bars, promenades and easy access. Las Marinas, Els Molins or Punta del Raset are ideal for families and paddle boarding. Many LocDenia rentals are a short walk from the sea.
- Arrive early in July and August for easier parking.
- Combine swimming with a stroll along the Las Marinas promenade.
- Els Poblets has shops and services very close to the water.
Les Rotes and Montgó coves
Towards Cap de San Antonio the coast turns rocky, with clear water and coves such as La Punta Negra. Perfect for snorkelling, kayaking and quieter spots (on foot or by car; wear suitable shoes).
- Bring water shoes: rocky access is common.
- Do not leave valuables unattended on the rocks.
- Spectacular sunsets with Montgó in the background.
Dénia centre: harbour and Marineta Cassiana
Urban Marineta Cassiana beach links the promenade, the castle and Baix la Mar. The harbour offers ferries, restaurants and a lively marina town feel. Combine a swim with tapas and shopping in the old quarter.
- The walk to the lighthouse is flat and pleasant.
- In high season the harbour area is very busy.
- Ideal for a “town + beach” day without the car.
Around Dénia: Jávea and the Marina Alta
Within twenty to forty minutes by car you can alternate Dénia with Granadella or Arenal in Jávea, Moraira coves or Daimús beach — mixing town beaches with wilder Costa Blanca corners.
- Check flags and sea conditions daily.
- Book parking early for small coves.
- LocDenia can advise according to your rental.
